Immersed in nature, a stone's throw from the lake, our farmhouse is located in Argegno in a large clearing at about 650 meters above the sea level, at the foot of the imposing Sasso Gordona, a stone's throw from Lake Como minutes away from the small and charming town of Schignano. "Baita Eleonora" is particularly loved by motorcyclists for its location and for the convenient parking where you can leave your inseparable travel companion.

Agricamping "Baita Eleonora"

We are ready to welcome you in the new area dedicated to our venturous guests!
The new agri-camping area is part of the Azienda Agricola Baita Eleonora. Three new uncommon stays will make you fantasize and dream as a child. 
The new rooms are studied in detail, completely made of beech wood with large panoramic windows. The perfect combination of comfort and simplicity, for those who want to escape from the city or a romantic getaway under the stars. 
The three accommodations offer a double bed and a well-equipped breakfast corner. 
Outside there is a dedicated area for outdoor activities.

Chalet Miele, created from an old barn

Our new Chalet Miele (CIN IT013011C2LLR5QJG2) is the result of a careful renovation of an old barn. It is an independent accomodation with kitchen, which can welcome up to six people.
The ideal solution for couples, families and groups of friends, who want to enjoy a holiday together surrounded by the nature of the Val d’Intelvi.

As outdoor activity it is possible for our guests to rent two E-MTB to explore and face all the different paths in the surroundings. 
We selected the model FANTIC XTF 1.5 Full for the high technology and top performance.
It is the perfect opportunity to spend a day discovering the beauties that the Lake of Como and Valle d'Intelvi can offer, in a different and ecologic way.
From Baita Eleonora, you can choose the path yourself or find inspiration looking at the paths in our gallery, that David, who knows a lot about cycling, has designed for you.
Or, even better, Davide, our certified bike-tour guide, is available to accompany you and to help you choose the best path depending on your demands and needs.


Our Shop

In our shop everything is made with products grown by us: tasty compotes of blueberry, raspberry or berries; the typical giardiniera or in-oil products.
The honey produced by our bees is of linden, acacia, millefiori and chestnut. You can find it here all year long!

"Baita Eleonora" is located in a strategic position in the Intelvi valley, ideal for those who want to enjoy the peace and nature in which we are immersed, but also for those who, more trained, love to reach peaks such as Mount Generoso or Mount Crocione or take the renowned Lariani paths.
Ideal place for families and for those who appreciate walking without effort and still have the opportunity to discover natural landscapes, farmhouses, mountain pastures, lakeside villages and fishing villages.
The center of Argegno, about 5 km away, can be reached by car or with a nice 20-minute walk within charming alleys and renowned restaurants.
The excellent service of Lake Como navigation will allow you to discover the beauty of our lake, one of the most amazing tourist destination in the world. Sumptuous villas, majestic gardens, splendid panoramas await you to leave indelible memories of our territory.
In the immediate vicinity San Fedele, which offers cultural events linked to the local artisan tradition, Lanzo and Sighignola known as the Balcony of Italy from where you can enjoy a spectacular view over the entire chain of the Alps.
The center of Como and Lugano are other destinations that can be reached in a short time, while Lake Maggiore and Valtellina are less than two hours away.
The location of "Baita Eleonora" will satisfy the needs of all our guests and  make your stay unforgettable.
Quiet and surrounded by nature, you will have the opportunity to see horses, donkeys, foxes and roe deer. To reach the structure you will have to take a narrow asphalted mule track suitable only for small cars and expert drivers. Otherwise you can leave your car nearby and reach us on foot or take advantage of our shuttle service.
Our Journey
So many years of hard work, sweat and love have been put into our dream which has now became a beautiful reality. All these years have made "Baita Eleonora" our special baby.
“Baita Eleonora” was an old stable. It is our family home which. with the vision and hard work of the family, was transformed and offered to you with the attention of details you would expect to find in your home away from home. 
Claudio and Nadia’s vision is reflected in the final results with many more ideas to come.
The second you walk through the door you will appreciate the character of the beams and rustic feeling. We have work really hard to maintain the feel of the old stable, you will find all the warmth of the beams, the creaking of the wooden floor, the thickness of the old stone walls with all the facilities you would expect nowadays which fit in without ruining with the character of our property.
Those who choose “La Baita di Eleonora” will appreciate the comforts and return to the simple life of the past.
We didn't stop ! In 2022 we installed the swimming pool and in 2023 the new Chalet Miele is finally ready, the
result of a careful renovation of an old barn, which is now an independent apartment with up
to six accommodations.

Another solution -Independent accommodation with 7 sleeping places

Nearby Baita Eleonora is available a new accomodation in an independent apartment with a maximum of 7 sleeping places.

You will find at your disposal a room with a double sofa-bed, kitchen, two rooms with double bed, 1 room with single bed, possibility of baby cot on request, two bathrooms with shower, a spacious terrace, a not-fenced garden. Private parking is available in the property. Animals are not allowed.Minimum stay of 3 nights with advance notice of arrival of at least 2 days. How to reach us
The structure can be reached from Sant'Anna by following a narrow paved mule track suitable for expert drivers with small cars, or from here take advantage of our shuttle service.
Otherwise, parking in via del lavoro 10 Schignano, you can reach us on foot along 200 meters of road.
